Laurie, I took your "Covers in Clay" class in Petaluma this September. You are a wonderful, inspiring teacher. I had no idea there were such wonderful mosaics that could be created with polymer clay. I look forward to attending other workshops or classes that you teach. Thanks for making my first class at my first Art Event such a terrific one.

I just bought your book and after about a third of the way through just had to get out my collection of Sculpey,scrapbook stamps, beads and eyeshadow and "play" before devouring the rest of the book...amazing results..thanks for sharing your creativity!! |

WHO DOESN'T LOVE LAURIE'S WORK!!!!???? It excites me just to look at it. I was thrilled to be able to take Laurie's class at the Institute of Mosaic Arts in Oakland,CA, as I have been in love with her work since seeing the book.
She was so down to earth and so forthcoming with her knowledge and ideas, spending a little time with every student. She's a doll! |

I just started doing mosaics in November 2010, and had creator's block until I found your book, Mixed Media Mosaics at the local library. After reading through only 5 pages I was immensely inspired and utterly hooked!
I ordered it a few days ago and am eagerly awaiting its arrrival. I can't wait to get started making gifts for my friends and family. Thanks again for the inspriation! I appreciate it more than words can say. |

I purchased your book, Mixed Media Mosaics and absolutely cant wait to make some designs, but I have actually been reading the book cover to cover...I have 2 questions...I saw an artist doing a polymer clay mosaic tabletop several years ago on HGTV.......was that you? I have been looking for that episode since it was on tv...do you have any more books out that you have written?.....I would love to get my hands on them. Your art is awesome! i, too, am an artist and bought your book on Mixed Media Mosaics. WOW! I haven't done any clay work since about 1994 but i've recently been getting my table and calendar set so i can try some mosaic pieces. What an incredible muse your art is to me. Thank you for sharing it in such a readable and understandable book. |
