July Update    July 16 2006
Hard to believe we are half way through July already. Just returned from a wonderful trip to Argentina which was thoroughly inspiring. I am now in the process of getting things ready for Art and Soul in Portland the first week of October. I have 3 classes that I am teaching there and I am doing the vendor show as well. I also currently have 3 pieces at a show in San Francisco at the Institute of Mosaic Art which runs until the beginning of September. I have heard the show is fabulous and worth seeing if you are in the Bay area. I will also have work appearing in Somerset Home and in Lynne Perrella's new book, Beyond Paper Dolls, both will be coming out later this summer. As we head towards August, try to stay cool!

Art and Soul    May 18 2006
Currently, I have work exhibited for a show called "Spiral Bound, The Spiritual Journey of Aging" at the Front Porch Gallery in Carlsbad. This show recently traveled to Anaheim where it was exhibited during the 2006 Joint Conference of the National Council on Aging and the American Society on Aging in America. The show runs from May 27-July 30th I recently returned from a wonderful time in Dallas at Art and Soul. It was my first time teaching at an Art and Soul venue. It was also the first time they had the retreat in Dallas and while they were hoping for higher attendance numbers, those who were there were fantastic! I had great students and the vendor show was the BEST! Thanks to all of you who came and supported this event. As May closes in on June and the summer approaches, my site will become a bit quiet....but do check back as I will be posting news every so often. In October, I will be heading to Portland for another Art and Soul adventure!

April Update    April 06 2006

The retreat runs from May 10th through May 15th. Hope to see some of you there!

March is the beginning of a few very busy months. I have been preparing for Artfest for months! Artfest runs from March 29 until April 3rd. Next on the schedule is Art and Soul in Dallas in mid May followed by Art and Soul in Portland in October. More information about classes is available at www.artandsoulretreat.com. I still have work in both Trios Gallery and The Next Door Gallery. Back to work!

The End of 2005!    December 10 2005
Wow, the year has almost passed....as we move forward into the new year, I would like to take a moment to thank all of my wonderful friends and customers who have supported me throughout the year. I appreciate you attending my shows, taking my classes and buying my art!! I also want to thank all of my "cyber" friends who have also been so wonderful throughout the year. As this year comes to a close, my hope is that 2006 will be a year filled with happiness for you all. Just a reminder, the "Art of the Holiday" at the Art Center in Fallbrook is a great showcase of local art, perfect for holiday giving. The show runs until December 23rd.

November Update    November 09 2005
First off I wanted to mention that Michelle Ward and I collaborated on a piece of artwork, an Exemplar, which is a sample alphabet. This piece is published in the current issue of Somerset Studio. Michelle decided (and I agreed) to auction our artwork off on Ebay, with the entire proceeds going to the Red Cross for hurricane relief. The auction ends on November 14th, so get those bids in! I will also be participating in a group show honoring Dia de los Muertos on November 12, on Ray St. in San Diego. On November 20, I will be at the Talmadge Art Show in downtown San Diego and December 3rd, I will be at Carmel Valley Artists in Sorrento Valley. I am also participating in a group show at the Fallbrook Center for the Arts which is running from December 1st until December 23rd. For additional info on any of these events please drop me an email! What a busy time of the year!

Back to work!    September 07 2005
Now that summer has officially ended, I am once again in my studio getting back to work and fully energized after a wonderful few days at Art Unraveled in Phoenix. I would like to thank my awesome students who were so generous and kind...you were the best! And thanks to Linda and Chuck for organizing a great retreat. I am currently working on a few submissions for upcoming books and will be in LA in a few weeks to tape a new show, Craft Lab on the DIY network. I will certainly post the air date when it becomes available. I can't wait to get to work...in my totally cleaned out studio! Yippee!
