Back to work!    September 07 2005
Now that summer has officially ended, I am once again in my studio getting back to work and fully energized after a wonderful few days at Art Unraveled in Phoenix. I would like to thank my awesome students who were so generous and were the best! And thanks to Linda and Chuck for organizing a great retreat. I am currently working on a few submissions for upcoming books and will be in LA in a few weeks to tape a new show, Craft Lab on the DIY network. I will certainly post the air date when it becomes available. I can't wait to get to my totally cleaned out studio! Yippee!

August is here!    August 03 2005
Wow, the summer is quickly going by. I just returned from a wonderful trip to Mexico City, Oaxaca and Puebla. Very inspiring...especially Oaxaca. The summer is turning out to be very busy indeed with many projects on the horizon. I will be leaving for Art Unraveled at the end of this month and will be teaching a handmade tile workshop on August 26th and 27th. On September 16th, I will be teaching at Visual Sound in Laguna Niguel. Contact me for info regarding this event. I will post other class offerings as they arise. Have a safe and wonderful summer!

Summer Time!    June 05 2005
As summer quickly approaches, my work schedule winds down a bit. Thank you to all of you who attended the last few shows and made them such a success. Things will be a bit quiet on this website over the summer months. I will be at Art Unraveled at the end of August, teaching a workshop titled,"handmade tile mosaic Icons". I will then be teaching a mixed media mosaic box class in Laguna Niguel in September followed by the Fall line up of shows. Stay tuned!!! Have a wonderful summer!

ARTFEST...WOW!    April 05 2005
Just returned from an incredible weekend teaching in Port Townsend at Artfest. It was my first experience teaching and I'm hooked! I had the BEST students who were so kind and SO very enthusiastic about all that I showed them. I can now look forward to Art Unraveled in Phoenix this August...(yes, it will be HOT) knowing how much fun it is to share the techniques I have developed over the years. Many thanks to Teesha and Tracy Moore for all of their efforts in making Artfest 2005 such a huge success. I also wanted to announce that I have an airdate for my segment on Crafter's Coast To will be shown on April 19th! Should be a hoot!

Artfest 2005    March 28 2005
Off to Artfest, an art retreat, in Port Townsend, WA. this week where I will be teaching two workshops on handmade tile mosaic Icons....should be an incredibly inspiring few days with some very talented artists...with one common purpose...creating art! I know I will come back totally recharged and ready to work.

The link above will take you directly to HeartsArt Radio where you can listen to the interview via the internet. New Features    February 01 2005
I have a few new features added to my site which include two new buttons. One button is "Available/New Work" which will show only work that is still available. The Gallery section will still contain all work for one to view. The other button will announce upcoming shows, workshops and publications to make it easier to find out what is going on and where I will be when! Hopefully these new features will make my site easier to navigate and more informational.

The New Year....    January 05 2005
Well, 2005 has started off to be a new year with many challenges and with all of the tragic news out of South Asia, I am reluctant to use the phrase Happy New Year. For anyone considering donating to the tsunami relief efforts but not sure where to donate, I would like to suggest donations to CARE. One of our dearest friends (who previously worked for the UN and lived in Sri Lanka)now works for CARE. He has devoted his life work to humanitarian causes and knows first-hand that CARE is a well run organization with the monies going to the areas most needed. On the art front, I am working on pieces for an upcoming show at The Next Door Gallery called Heart to Heart that opens at the end of the month and runs into February (Valentine's Day) Also, in a few weeks, I will be traveling on an art tour down to the Yucatan peninsula....will be touring the ruins and visiting some incredible haciendas.

Happy Holidays    December 09 2004
Carmel Valley Artists was my last show of 2004...and it was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who made it so by generously supporting the arts! Now it's time to focus on family and friends and enjoy the rapidly approaching holidays. All the best to you and yours....see you in 2005!
