Wow! Time has flown by and the first of many shows will be this Saturday, Nov. 6th. It is Designer's Workshop and will be held in downtown San Diego at the Women's Club from 9:30-3:30. I currently have work on display at two Dia de los Muertos shows at The Next Door Gallery and at The ArtBar in Santa Ana. I am also participating in a fundraiser for the "Lost Women of Juarez" which is being sponsored through the ArtBar. More info can be found on their site www.theartbar.net Finally, I will also have a few pieces of art being auctioned off on Dec. 12th for a fundraiser through Synergy Corp. to raise money for grants for artists who lost their homes and studios in last year's wildfires. Please contact me for further info. The rest of the information on upcoming shows will be posted as they near...there is also the full info in the previous post below.

ARTFEST News!    August 11 2004
As the summer draws to a close, I find I have some exciting things to look forward to in the near future. First of all, I will be teaching at Artfest...an incredible 3 day art retreat in Port Townsend, Wa. I will be teaching a class called, "Handmade Tile Mosaic Icons" and it will cover all of the techniques that I have developed over the years. Please check out the link to Artfest on this page for more details. Also the first of a few books that I will be published in this year is available. It is titled, "400 Polymer Clay Designs" It is a beautiful full color book and is available on Amazon.com for a very reasonable price. Lastly, I have postcards that are being printed with all of the upcoming show information for the fall show line-up. Look for them in the mail...or ask and I will gladly send you one!

Almost August Update    July 26 2004
I'm back from Seattle after an incredible time learning some great new techniques that I hope to incorporate into my work. While I was away, my copy of "400 Polymer Clay Designs" arrived at my door...very exciting as I have 4 pieces in this nice "coffee table" art book. It is available at Barnes and Noble and through Amazon.com. I also found out recently that I will be teaching at Artfest next year. This is an incredible event that will take place the end of March. I have the link to it located above...check it out!

A Mid-Summer Update!    July 10 2004
Just returned from a glorious trip to Alaska, what an amazingingly vast state. I haven't been able to get back to work in my studio yet, however, I will be attending a three-day artist workshop in Washington and know I will return greatly inspired and ready to create! Hope your summer has been enjoyable as well!

Summertime!    June 17 2004
Not much to report as my studio has been taken over by returning college students home for the summer! I did want to say that EoPc has been cancelled due to lack of enrollment which is really too bad. It would have been a great venue for promoting polymer clay art and artists here in San Diego. I guess the timing just wasn't right. That's it for now...until the end of the summer! Have a good one!

Summer's Almost Here    May 19 2004
As summer approaches, my studio slows and not much will be happening on this site. The spring shows were very successful and well attended...many thanks once again to those who came and supported the arts. There are many events in the works for the fall. In August, San Diego State University will host the EoPC show (evolution of polymer clay)...a huge conference promoting polymer clay. Should be quite wonderful with a line up of excellent teachers and two art exhibits. More information can be obtained by going to their website www.npcg.org/eopc/ That's it for now!

Carmel Valley Artists    May 04 2004
ArtWalk was a wonderful experience, the weather was beautiful and the people were great to talk to...and sales were terrific too...so I'm already signed up for next year! Carmel Valley Artists will be held this Saturday, May 8th from 9:30-3:30 at the Karl Strauss Brewery in Sorrento Valley. This is always a very relaxing and beautiful venue. Hope to see you there! Many thanks to all of you who came out to support the arts at ArtWalk.

Upcoming Events    April 21 2004
Just a reminder that ArtWalk is April 24th and 25th in Little Italy in downtown San Diego. I will be on Cedar Street between Columbia and India Streets....so look for me! The hours are noon until 6:00pm both days. Also May 8th is the date for Carmel Valley Artists which will be held at the Karl Strauss Brewery in Sorrento Valley. The hours for this wonderful event are 9:30-3:30, rain or shine! Hope to see you at either of these events as these will be the last two venues until the fall.
