Summer's almost over!    August 21 2002
It is nearly the end of a great summer...with many weeks spent in France. As soon as the kids are back to school, I am back to work! Fall is around the corner and with it the beginning of the holiday show schedule. I will post those dates when available. I am newly inspired after traveling throughout France and visiting a few flea markets where I found lots of great "junque" with which to embellish my icons. I also have a large fabric piece I started working on...similar to the ones shown in the Archives section of the Gallery. That's it for now. Hope everyone had a terrific summer!!

Summertime!    June 6 2002
Summer is here...which means I take a breather before the Fall show line up! Carmel Valley Artists went exceptionally well! Many thanks to all of you who attended (and to those of you who bought, a special thank-you!) I just completed a few commissioned pieces and have a million ideas for new work...can't wait to get going....
Have a terrific summer....cya in the Fall!

It's April!    April 24 2002
Hard to believe it is already April. I have been very busy working on alot of new pieces which are soon to be posted on my site. Getting ready for Carmel Valley Artists. Hope to see you there! That's it for now...

Spring is on the way...    February 28 2002
Spring is in the air! I've just recently completed a few commissioned pieces and am now preparing for upcoming shows. May 11, is the date for Carmel Valley Artists held at the Karl Strauss Brewery in Sorrento Valley. It should be a terrific show.

Happy 2002!    January 9 2002
Happy New Year to all! The beginning of another new year...and with it a renewed energy toward creating. I'm just in the process of ordering various supplies to get going on lots of new ideas (and have been to the swap meet finding wonderful treasures to use for embellishment) I have a few months to prepare for upcoming shows...so the next few weeks is a time I relish... to be able to create for the sake of creating...to experiment and try out new approaches to surface design.
Hope the new year is a wonderful one for all....

Tis The Season    December 14 2001
Happy Holidays! It has been a very trying past few months for all of us...and we can only look forward to a hopeful and more peaceful New Year. Fortunately, art is a great form of catharsis...and when creating, one can lose track of not only time, but world events. It is a nice place to retreat to.
All of my Fall shows went very well...especially Carmel Valley Artists,(just about sold out!) and the new magazine, Expression, came out today and is wonderful...I am thrilled to be a part of it. I highly recommend picking up an issue or better yet, subscribing! It can be purchased at Barnes and Noble, Michael's and through craft and bead stores.
I will be back to work after the holidays....time to start getting ready for the Spring shows! I will keep you posted on the dates. Again, I hope these few weeks of celebrating with families will renew all of our spirits.
